Acadlore Publisher Article Processing Charge (APC) and Payment Policy
I. Publishing Philosophy
Acadlore Publishing Services is an international academic publisher dedicated to advancing high-quality Open Access (OA) publishing.
We believe that the dissemination of knowledge should not be limited by geography, economy, or institutional boundaries.
All Acadlore journals operate under the Gold Open Access model, ensuring that every article is freely and permanently available worldwide.
Open Access is not just a publishing model—it is a long-term commitment to research equality, transparency, and sustainable knowledge dissemination.
Acadlore strives to build a reliable and sustainable scholarly publishing ecosystem through professional editorial standards and financial transparency.
II. Journal Categories and Fee Structure
To ensure publication quality and operational sustainability, Acadlore journals fall into two categories:
1. APC-Charging Journals
• APCs apply only to manuscripts that have successfully passed peer review and been formally accepted;
• Fees are fair and transparent, used solely to cover publication costs;
• Each journal’s Article Processing Charge Policy page provides detailed APC rates, waiver options, and application procedures;
• APC levels are reviewed periodically to reflect actual operational costs.
2. Journals Currently Without APCs
• Authors do not pay any fees during submission, review, or publication;
• All publication expenses are fully funded by Acadlore Publishing Services;
• If a journal introduces an APC in the future, authors will receive at least three months’ prior notice;
• Manuscripts submitted or accepted before the announcement will not be affected.
III. Use and Allocation of APC Funds
All APC revenue is exclusively allocated to publishing-related expenses, including:
• Editorial and peer-review management;
• Professional language editing, typesetting, and proofreading;
• Website hosting, security, and digital preservation (CLOCKSS / Portico);
• DOI registration, indexing, and metadata integration (Crossref, Scopus, DOAJ, etc.);
• Publication ethics oversight and quality assurance;
• Platform improvement and author support systems.
All expenditures are reviewed internally and overseen by editorial boards to ensure accountability and transparency.
IV. Invoicing and Payment (for APC-Based Journals)
1. Timing
APCs are invoiced only after a manuscript has passed peer review and been formally accepted.
No fees are charged during submission or review.
2. Payment Methods
Payments must be made through official Acadlore channels—bank transfer, PayPal, or secure online payment systems.
All payment instructions are issued only from verified publisher email addresses (@acadlore.com).
3. Invoice Details
Invoices are issued by Acadlore Publishing Services and include:
• Journal name;
• Manuscript ID and title;
• Author’s name;
• Amount due and payment method;
• Payment deadline.
All invoices comply with international billing and research funding reimbursement standards.
V. Waivers and Discounts
Acadlore is committed to ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder the publication of research.
Its APC-based journals offer partial or full APC waivers for:
• Authors from low- or middle-income countries (World Bank classification);
• Independent researchers without funding;
• Students and early-career researchers;
• Authors affected by financial hardship, natural disasters, or conflict.
Waiver requests must be submitted by the corresponding author at the time of submission, with supporting documentation.
All requests are handled confidentially and evaluated independently of peer review.
VI. Financial Transparency and Sustainability
Acadlore adheres to principles of openness, transparency, and sustainability.
All APC revenues are reinvested in journal development and publishing infrastructure, enhancing editorial systems, author experience, and
global reach.
Annual reviews ensure that any surplus is used to improve publishing quality, editor training, and academic outreach.
Any financial or policy changes will be publicly announced in advance.
VII. Ethics and Compliance
All Acadlore journals comply with international publication standards, including:
• The Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE);
• The Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ);
• The Open Access Scholarly Publishing Association (OASPA);
• Crossref citation and DOI integrity standards;
• CLOCKSS / Portico preservation frameworks.
Acadlore upholds editorial independence, research integrity, and author rights protection in all operations.
