Prof. Hongyang Zhang Appointed Editor-in-Chief of JCHE

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Hongyang Zhang has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Civil and Hydraulic Engineering (JCHE).

Prof. Hongyang Zhang, Ph.D., associate professor, was born in March 1981. From September 2000 to June 2004, he studied in the department of water conservancy and hydropower engineering, Zhengzhou University, and received a bachelor's degree. From September 2004 to June 2007, he studied in the department of hydraulic structure engineering, Zhengzhou University, and received a master's degree. From March 2007 to June 2010, he studied in the department of hydraulic structure engineering, Hohai University, and received a doctorate degree. Over the years, he has presided over one project approved by the Government-Sponsored Overseas Study Program of China Scholarship Council, presided over and participated in five projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, participated in one project of the 13th Five-Year National Key R&D Program, and presided over one project of the Embankment Engineering Safety Center of the Chinese Ministry of Water Resources. In addition, he presided over two Key Scientific Research Projects of Henan Universities, won one Outstanding Contribution Award for Scientific Research of Henan Water Conservancy Society, and received eight Science and Technology Achievement Awards at or above the department level. In addition, he has published more than 20 SCI/EI-indexed papers and 5 books, and obtained more than 30 national invention patents.

Journal of Civil and Hydraulic Engineering (JCHE) (www.acadlore.com/journals/jche) is an international open access scholarly journal, which provides an emerging platform for publication of the latest knowledge on any aspect of civil engineering and hydraulic engineering. The mission of JCHE is to accept and disseminate original contributions that describe the analyses and solutions in relevant fields, such as civil structure and materials, hydraulic and geotechnical engineering, and water resources management, to name but a few. The emphasis is placed on the presentation of concepts, methodologies, technologies, and results that advance the knowledge and application in related fields.
