Dear editors, reviewers, authors, readers, and other members of the whole scientific and professional community,

Welcome to this inaugural issue of the Acadlore Transaction in Geoscience (ATG).

Transaction in Geoscience is a multi-disciplinary journal that publishes articles dealing with all aspects of Earth sciences aimed at bringing together top-quality research across the entire spectrum of Earth sciences. Understanding the Earth's history has increasing importance with the increase of the human factor that affects the climate and landscapes, the oceans and the atmosphere expands. It is important to highlight the future vulnerability of current systems or territorial areas against future climate and vulnerability. The journal's vision is to cover a much wider field than the usual specialist journal and includes all the disciplines within the geosciences ranging from field research to theoretical simulations.

This first issue aims to give answers to many important questions related to the scope of the journal and consists of seven very interesting high-quality papers: Article 1 provides comparing artificial neural networks with multiple linear regression for forecasting heavy metal content using multiple linear regression (MLR) and artificial neural networks (ANNs), to predict the concentrations of heavy metals (zinc, boron, and manganese) in surface waters of the Oued Inaouen watershed flowing towards Inaouen, using a set of physical-chemical parameters; Article 2 presents common mistakes and their fixes in earthquake-resistant buildings where the authors introduced the approach of most computer programs for seismic design, along with their limitations; Article 3 highlights the mining subsidence monitoring based on InSAR method fusing multi-threshold target and proposes a time-series InSAR mining area subsidence monitoring method based on the fusion of multi threshold targets; Articles 4 focuses on allocation of promising objects for a group of deposits in the Karagay Saddle; Article 5 focuses on Tendencies in land use and land cover in serbia towards sustainable development examines the causes of specific trends in land-use change in Serbia, utilizing the CORINE Land Cover (CLC) database to track temporal and spatial changes in the major categories of land use and land cover from 1990 to 2018; Article 6 studies the negative externalities of railway station on environmental sustainability: Evidence from Tripura, India, and assesses the negative externalities of railway transport through the changing dynamics of the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) and fractional vegetation cover (FVC); Article 7 presents application and analysis of microbial spray filtering in environmental exhaust gas treatment  in order to cope with environmental exhaust gases, and this work integrates microbial spray filtering with an exhaust gas treatment equipment.

We welcome original submissions in various forms, including reviews, regular research papers, and short communications as well as Special Issues on particular topics.
