We are pleased to announce that Prof. Dr. Kuo-Yi Lin has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of Information Dynamics and Applications (IDA).

Prof. Dr. Kuo-Yi Lin is director of Lingzhi Education Foundation, director of China Excellent Business Decision-Making Society, and standing member of Intelligent Simulation Optimization and Scheduling Committee of China Simulation Federation. He has long been cooperating with the industry to discuss the application of artificial intelligence, and engaging in machine learning, transfer learning, federated learning, and quantum algorithms. He was a visiting scholar at Cambridge University, Georgia Institute of Technology, University of Queensland, and Stanford University. Over the years, he has published more than 100 academic papers, obtained over 30 patents and 2 software copyrights, transformed 2 research results, and designed 1 integrated circuit layout. In addition, Prof. Dr. Kuo-Yi Lin won 36 research honors and rewards, including Automation and Artificial Intelligence Innovation Team Award of the Chinese Association of Automation, Computers & Industrial Engineering Outstanding Reviewer Award, CSIE2020 & CIEDH2020 Best Paper Award, SMILE 2019 & ISMI2019 Best Paper Award, and Juyang Industry-Research Paper Award. Moreover, he peer-reviewed for more than 30 high-level journals, and participated in and executed numerous projects, namely, Key and General Fund Projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, Shanghai Research Institute for Intelligent Autonomous Systems, the “863” Project of Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, and many other interdisciplinary projects.

Information Dynamics and Applications (IDA) (www.acadlore.com/journals/ida) is a fully refereed international open access journal, which publishes original research results in all subjects related to the dynamics and applications of information technology. The mission of the journal is to promote interdisciplinary research centered around the key issues of information processing, storage, and transmission. IDA welcomes original submissions in various forms, including reviews, regular research papers, and short communications as well as Special Issues on particular topics. The special interest lies in new analytical and application techniques of information technology in different fields of science and engineering.
